January 16, 2021 - In 1967, Dr. King said “The time has come for us to civilize ourselves by the total, direct and immediate abolition of poverty.” In the last year of his life, he would commit himself to economic justice and the idea of a Guaranteed Income. In 2021, we couldn’t agree more -- and have the data to prove -- that poverty can be abolished.
